QMA Karting Academy for children

Qatar Motorsports Academy is born from the need to create a quarry of young promising riders and drivers in Qatar, wherein, it is comprised of 2 distinct sections- the QMA Karting Academy and the QMA Motorcycling Academy.

The QMA Karting Academy is the first of its’ kind in Qatar, with an official launch date in 2022, the idea behind the academy is to nurture the talent of young go kart drivers so that they can become competitive professionals on a national and international level.

QMA Karting Academy has training facilities located inside the Lusail circuit so that our drivers can achieve the best results and experiences from the environment they are exposed to, whether it be on the technical area or on the go karting track.

With our methods of training, the drivers will get to learn go karting from the very beginning, step by step in order to continuously improve their techniques while also learning about all aspects of safety on the track, moreover, they will become more physically fit and develop a well-rounded motorsport mentality.

Methodology

The QMA Karting Academy will be made up of young drivers between the ages of 5 and 17 years old with a minimum height of 120cm (due to the size of the bambino karts). The training exercises will be done in several stages; First laurel, bronze laurel, silver laurel and gold laurel. All drivers regardless of age or karting experience will start with the first laurel. Each laurel will be assessed accordingly before moving onto the next stage. Each stage is a combination of four main points; Racing driving, Safety and regulations on a circuit, Safety and regulations on the road and Mechanical workshop

The program will also be made up of theoretical classes presented in the driver briefing area. Furthermore, we will add notions of physical preparation and nutrition, thus completing a very high level and well-rounded program.

Classes will be 2 to 3 times per week, dates and times vary according to the term.

Note* The academy will be open to Qatari and expatriate children.

Staff

There are a number of coaches (both male and female) handpicked and under the supervision of All Road Management (ARM), ARM is present at all levels of motorsport, from karting to F1 through the different single-seater formulas, GT, Endurance and also new categories such as Formula E.

Moreover, these instructors will be responsible for the technical and sports training of the drivers. With regards to the physical and nutritional side of the program, we have collaborated with Aspire, a high performance centre for athletes, who will provide all things health and fitness related to further enhance the drivers.

What is the minimum and maximum age to participate?

Children from 5 to 17 years old (minimum height of child: 120cm)

Is it open only to Qatari children?

No, the QMA karting academy is open to both Qatari and expatriate children.

Can girls join the QMA Karting Academy?

Yes, both girls and boys can join.

Are visitors allowed during the courses?

Yes, friends and family members are allowed and there is a lounge area for them.

Is the Go Kart and equipment included in the price?

Yes, QMA will provide the go karts, suits and all other necessary safety equipment for the training.

In case of an accident, is there medical insurance?

Yes, medical insurance is included in the term price.

Is there an ambulance during the training days?

Yes, there will be an ambulance and medical staff available at the circuit.

Registration for children from 5 to 17 years old ONLY! !

There are limited spaces available in the karting academy and it will not work on a first come first serve basis.

Once registration has been completed via email, the drivers will be invited to come to the circuit with their parent(s) or legal guardian in order to sign all the consent forms. These are compulsory forms which give permission for their child to take part in the program.
