Whether you are a seasoned motorsports enthusiast or a newcomer to the spectacle, here is a comprehensive guide to the action-packed MotoGP™ Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2023.
The Grand Prix will showcase the fierce competition of distinct subcategories within the motorsport franchise. The FIM Grand Prix World Championship has three main classes of motorcycle racing: Moto3™, Moto2™, and MotoGP™. Moto3™ was introduced in 2012 and it is the starting point for riders on their trajectory to MotoGPTM. It's held alongside MotoGP™ and Moto2™ races. Unlike before, Moto3 bikes now use a different, more modern engine. Moto2™ and MotoGP are the more advanced categories™. MotoGP™ is the top tier of racing, while Moto2™ is one rank below it. There are differences in how the bikes are customized and built, as well as in the technology of the engine used and the total cost.
Additionally, the MotoGPTM Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2023 promises exciting additions: the Tissot Sprint Race which is a condensed version of a typical MotoGPTM race, offering riders a chance to earn valuable points to boost their championship standings.
The Grand Prix will also feature the The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup which is the biggest and most successful platform for young riders on the way to compete in MotoGPTM. This competition is designed for participants aged 14 to 17, and the rider will compete in a total of five rounds taking place across the race weekend.
